The project’s original key messages reflect the principles endorsed by stakeholders at regional workshops in early 2008:
Key message 1
The QAIHC Business Quality Centre model will include ‘back office’ functions of human resources (HR), finance, information technology (IT) and purchasing.
Key message 2
The model is designed to create efficiencies and possible cost savings to give members more capacity to focus on primary health service delivery.
Key message 3
The model is deigned to enable members to keep control of their decision-making in the above areas.
Key message 4
The model is designed to improve members’ access to specialist skills and resources.
Key message 5
The model is designed to support increased skills, knowledge and capabilities of individuals and organisations in the Queensland community-controlled health sector.
